So the general consensus was that we did a pretty good job organizing the first ever race in Wadi Degla (to our knowledge). There were definately some issues that have not been addressed due to lack of experience/time. Lets discuss those for the sake of better future races.

Here is what I think wasn't adequately planned for:

1- Pre-race registration:

The process of recieving race fees, signing the release forms, etc. Although we had specific people assigned to manage those tasks, the way things went were not as planned. For example, some volunteers ended up doing things other than those they were assigned, resulting in some confusion over who was doing what, and leaving some tasks unattended.

Some ideas to save time and have a better organized registration process in future races:

- Limit the whole process but fee payment to the online registration form only (which we did, but someone said it would be a good idea to have paper release forms signed on-site too).

- Stick to the orignial assigned tasks for volunteers: On-the-fly changes on race day to who does what is not a good idea.

2- Route marking:

One of main problems here was that the advanced route was too long and technical to be easily marked.

3- Timekeeping:

A more accurate solution will be needed if the number of participants will increase.
